Task Description

Students will make decisions regarding the awarding of funds to repair ice storm damage in their town.

Practice through discussion will make the task understandable

Start by using trees with various degrees of damage.
Ask students to select trees to eliminate

The next step would be to decide how to fix the damage left by the storm.
Should the damaged item be replaced? Repaired? Not fixed at all?

Costs would then be researched for repair or replacement of the damaged items/areas.

Student Products/Performances

Students could produce before and after pictures or descriptions and/or alternatives.

Costs could be determined and assessed for each replacement scenario.
