Annual Convention

The MMA Annual Convention is held in October, bringing together municipal officials from all over the State of Maine for two full days of workshops, seminars, discussions, and meeting and visiting with exhibitors.

More than 100 providers of products, materials, and services to local governments are exhibitors in an Exposition setting featuring heavy and large equipment displays and traditional booths.

Decision-making delegates from large, medium, and small municipalities from throughout Maine meet with exhibitors whose information assists delegates in making the best possible choices for providing local government services as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Maine municipal officials are traditionally inclined to visit  their exhibitors anyway, but just to make sure MMA offers inducements. One of them is a major door prize for a delegate from a drawing based on exhibitor visits; another is social and informational programs offered at, or adjacent to, the exhibit area.

The Association maintains a mailing list of prospective exhibitors. These firms will be contacted each year in July, providing them with preliminary information on the coming MMA Convention and an opportunity to contract for select exhibit space.

For information on how your business can cost-effectively meet with more than 1,200 Maine municipal officials from more than 225 Maine municipalities in a relaxed, pleasant setting at the MMA Annual Convention, contact Michael Starn, Convention Coordinator, mstarn@memun.org.
