PowerPoint is a powerful tool for making presentations. The software allows structuring of the presentation with an on-screen slide show to guide and reinforce the presentation. It also facilitates creating hand outs and booklets of the presentation for the group.

The individual lessons to the left are self-contained and can be reviewed by themselves or as a continuous tutorial. There are interactive exercises and activities throughout.

If you can follow along with your own PowerPoint program open, go back and forth and experiment with each tool or area that the lesson is describing.

Experimentation is how most people learn; so use your program to feel comfortable with the toolbars and options before going on to the next lesson.

You will also discover that it is impossible to cover all of the options and methods available. As you experiment, you will certainly discover new things.

Don't be afraid of "messing up" the presentation; just close it and start over. Remember, you can always delete it!
