You can insert objects into a PowerPoint slide from other programs such as clip art, pictures from a file, tables, charts, etc. We will look at inserting clip art and pictures but other items are just as easy, just select the appropriate menu item.

Try it yourself.

1. Select "Picture" from the Insert menu shown below.

Select "Clip Art" if you are importing from a clip art collection.

Select "From File" if you have a picture you wish to use stored on your computer.

2. The image below shows Word's clip art gallery.

Select the clip art image or picture file and click on "Insert."
