PowerPoint: The Presentation - Let the show begin! Slide 3
BACK Table of Contents

To begin the show, use the "Slide Show" Screen Shot of slide show button button or select "Slide Show" from the top menu.

The show will immediately begin to run through the presentation.

Run this often as you plan the presentation and practice the timing and control of it before you get in front of an audience.

This button Screen Shot of control buttonwill appear automatically in the left-bottom corner of each slide. Clicking on it will produce
this menu. It will actually appear if you Right Click anywhere on the slide show screen.

This menu is vital for getting out of the slide show. The "End Show" option will stop it!

"Next" will move you to the next slide. You can also, and should, move through the slides by simply clicking anywhere on the slide. You don't want to show this menu every time you manually want to move on.

"Previous" is about your only way back if you've clicked the slide by mistake or someone wants to continue to talk about the last slide.

"Pointer Options" allows you to set the appearance of you cursor. The Pen choice will set the cursor so that you can write on the screen to annotate or just scribble.
