When personal information is collected on the web site and is stored by the Maine Municipal Association, it is kept in a secure location where it is accessible only to authorized employees. This information will not be shared, unless allowed by law.
E-mail messages will be treated the same as any other written communication. They may be subject to public inspection or legal disclosure and may be saved for a period of time before they are destroyed.
We will not knowingly collect, store, use or disclose information from children.

The information we collect is used to improve the content and help us understand how people are using our services. We analyze our web sites logs to continually improve the value of the materials available on our site. The information in our web sites logs is not personally identifiable, and we make no attempt to link it with the individuals who use MMA’s sites or services.
We do not use cookies in order to track visits to MMA’s web sites. A temporary cookie may be placed during login on Affiliate web sites. It does not contain any identifiable personal information, and it is automatically deleted at the conclusion of the login process. The "help" portion of the toolbar on most browsers will tell you how to prevent your browser from accepting new cookies or how to disable cookies altogether.
Our web sites contain hyperlinks or "links" to other sites, and other sites may "link" to this site. Web sites linking to and from our web sites may have different privacy practices from the ones described herein. Visitors to our web sites should read the privacy statements of other web sites they visit. Our privacy policy applies solely to information collected by our web sites.
