Interest in GIS but don't know where to start? The Maine GIS User Group is offering two sessions "GIS 101: Basic Concepts and Uses for Local Government" and "ESRI Introduction Part 2," which will give you the basics and the vision of how GIS can be used by local governments. These workshops are geared toward assessors and planners as well as other local officials or employees. MEGUG is also offering six other GIS workshops you won't want to miss. Highlighting Hands On Training at Technology Conference Space is limited!There will be 3 hands-on sessions for honing your computer skills at the Municipal Technology Conference. There will only be 10 or 12 computers at which people can double up. You may also bring your laptop if it has Windows 7 and MS Office 2010, and participate.
