Regional Police ‘Town Halls’ to Begin

Please join a Virtual Police Town Hall event featuring Police Chiefs Jared Mills of Augusta, James Toman of Gardiner, Scott MacMaster of Hallowell, Kevin Mulherin of Monmouth and Ryan Frost of Winthrop on Monday, Feb. 22 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The event will be facilitated by Maine Community Policing Institute Director Noel C. March and hosted by the Maine Municipal Association. These listening sessions are part of statewide municipal police effort that ultimately will involve 110 departments in Maine. They present opportunities for the wider community to engage with their local police on topics of concern, to open dialogue about policing issues in a local context, and for community members to inform policing policies. The public is welcome and the town hall events are free, but registration is required (link provided below).
