National Harbormaster Appreciation Day - October 8

US Harbors announced that the 3rd annual National Harbormaster Appreciation Day will be celebrated on October 8th, 2021. The holiday, registered with the National Day Archive, is intended to bring recognition to the vital public servants in coastal communities that often are under appreciated. On this day communities around the country are organizing local events to show appreciation for their harbormasters.

US Harbors will host a live, online event featuring interesting Harbormasters from around the country on October 8th. This year’s theme is: “What It Takes to Become a Harbormaster”. Event access details for the public will be available at the week prior to Harbormaster Day.
