Virtual Office Hours on MCA’s Connect the Ready Broadband Grant Application

The Maine Connectivity Authority last week released the application for its Connect the Ready grants, intended to encourage proactive partnerships and collaborative efforts to design, fund, and build broadband infrastructure projects in eligible areas. Eligible applicants for this $20 million in grants include internet service providers, or broadband utility districts, and other governmental entities that have chosen ISP partners.

You can watch the recording of last week’s release workshop here.

This week MCA is hosting virtual office hours to address any outstanding questions that applicants have about the following topics:

  • The overall application process and portal
  • Using the VETRO FiberMap platform for point selection and network design
  • Completing the applicant workbook
  • Any other application elements of the Connect the Ready program

Applications for the first round of the Connect the Ready grants are due November 9, 2022, with a second round anticipated for early 2023.
