The Town of Ashland is accepting applications for a full time Deputy Clerk/Assistant Librarian. The Deputy Clerk position is responsible a specific area such as collection of real and personal property taxes, excise taxes, or a motor vehicle registration agent.  Work involves the handling of funds and preparation of standard forms and receipts.  The Assistant Librarian will assist the Librarian in updating a computer database for library materials, organize library materials for easy find, assist library patrons to search reference materials, and the research new books for patrons.   The ability to work independently following established procedures and routines.  This position entails extensive public contact.

This is a full-time hourly position that offers competitive wage with a full benefits package.  This position will remain open until a suitable candidate can be hired. The successful candidate must successfully pass a criminal background check and a financial background check.
