Town of Kennebunkport - Parking Lot Attendant (Seasonal)

The Town of Kennebunkport is accepting applications for Parking Attendants at the Dock Square Municipal Parking Lot and Cape Porpoise Pier. Applicants must be at least 17 years of age and preferably hold a valid driver’s license. These positions have a starting pay of a minimum of $12.75 an hour.

 

These are part-time seasonal summer positions. Depending on availability and town needs, there are some positions that extend into October. Workdays include day and/or night shifts, weekends and holidays.  Parking Lot Attendants duties include assisting drivers in the parking lot while utilizing the automated payment system, proper insertion of their parking tickets and credit cards.  Job requirements include: the ability to interact with the public in a courteous and helpful manner, giving directions, minor traffic direction and control, contacting Public Safety agencies when needed, and troubleshooting the mechanical parking machines.  Pier Parking Attendants duties include assisting drivers in the parking lot, the ability to interact with the public in a courteous and helpful manner, giving directions, minor traffic directions, and control and contacting Public Safety agencies when needed.  Both positions require frequent walking, standing, light lifting, and other physical work.
