Request for Proposal Ordinance Codification

Date of Issue: Monday, April 22, 2024

Due Date: Thursday, May 15, 2024 by 5:00 pm

Purpose of the RFP:  The Town of Durham is seeking proposals from interested professional services/consulting firms to assist the Town with codification of its Land Use Ordinance.   The consultant would review the current Land Use Ordinance for internal and external consistency, outdated provisions, legal requirements, and state of the art land use regulations for small rural communities in Maine in line with current policy and recommendations of the 2018 Comprehensive Plan. The Town did a manual overhaul of the Ordinance in 2019 and would now like to take it to the next professional level of digital codification.

Firms will be evaluated based on the selection process and evaluation criteria described in this Request for Proposals (RFP). Upon completing an interview process and a check of references, the Town will enter into an agreement with the qualified and selected firm to render the services described.
