The Town of Pownal, hereinafter the “Town”, is requesting statements of interest and qualifications as well as a cost proposal from consultants with the appropriate experience and qualifications to provide
a test well and related pump testing to determine the water capacity for development of a new public water supply to serve the Pownal Village District. The test well will be located on a site to be determined in the vicinity of the existing production well used for the Pownal Community Water System (PCWS). The purpose of this project is to develop a test well and related pump test data to determine subsurface conditions and the potential yield and water quality of the ground water in this area.
The results of this study will be used to communicate the current and future water capacity at this location to the residents of the Town of Pownal and to prioritize capital improvements in pursuit of the goals of the town’s Comprehensive Plan and Village District.
