Information Technology (IT) Director Position


Franklin County is accepting applications for a full-time Information Technology (IT) Director position. This position is a Department Head providing oversight to one employee while maintaining the day-to-day computer and other technological systems for the county; responding to user requests for assistance on the phone and face-to-face; set up workstations and troubleshoot technical issues; answer questions about software usage; assist in training employees; and create and maintain records. 


Requirements for this position include: 
•    Minimum high school diploma or equivalent, associate or bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred.
•    Experience with budgeting, project management, and problem-solving required. 
•    A minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in the technology field is preferred.
•    Must possess sound working knowledge of Information Technology (IT) operations, systems, and development. 
•    Possess oral and written communication skills, strong customer service, and interpersonal skills.
