The Town of Machias is seeking a skilled and motivated Finance Director and Assistant HR Director to join our municipal leadership team. This is a dynamic opportunity to take on a key fiscal role in a welcoming, growing community on the scenic coast of Downeast Maine.
The Finance Director oversees the Town’s financial systems and serves as Deputy Treasurer, working closely with the Town Manager, Select Board, and department heads. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the financial health, accountability, and transparency of our local government. It offers both stability and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the day-to-day operations and long-term planning of our town.
This full-time position includes a comprehensive benefits package and offers a regular Monday–Friday schedule with occasional evening meetings.
