The Freeport Police Department is hiring for seasonal help focused on supporting parking enforcement and community access during the busy summer months

What You’ll Do:

• Monitor and enforce parking regulations in downtown Freeport
• Assist with visitor and public inquiries in a friendly, professional manner
• Work outdoors independently while supporting the department’s daily operations
• Provide a visible, approachable presence to help maintain traffic flow and safety

Who We’re Looking For:

• Self-motivated, dependable individuals who enjoy working outside
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
• Able to communicate clearly and professionally with the public
• Must be at least 18 years of age

Job Details:

• Pay: $20.00/hour
• Schedule: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, 7 days/week (shared shifts among staff)
• Seasonal Duration: Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend
• Supervisor: Reports to the Police Department Lieutenant
• Uniform shirts provided
