The Bangor Water District is seeking a Full-Time Water Treatment Manager. This position is responsible for managing the operations of the Water Treatment Plant.

The successful candidate must have the ability to successfully lead a team in a professional manner, have detailed knowledge of District pumping and water treatment operations, including knowledge of computer monitoring equipment, principles and procedures of mathematics, hydraulics, biology and chemistry and ability to apply such knowledge to daily operations; demonstrated knowledge of PC operating skills utilizing Microsoft Windows, basic knowledge of Windows based operating software as applied to automated operations, and be proficient with PLC processors, ladder logic programming, SCADA architecture.

The candidate must possess a combination of education and experience equivalent to:

RECOMMENDED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience and Education/Training:
• Two or four-year college degree in engineering, math, science, or related discipline required. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education requirement.
• Five years water or wastewater experience required or five years of relevant experience in the operations and maintenance of a manufacturing facility.
• Demonstrated supervisory or management experience.
Licenses/Certifications/Other:
• Possess or obtain a State of Maine Operator License for a Class IV Water Treatment System and a Class IV Distribution System within eighteen (18) months of hire
