Vital Records Clerk – Part Time (22.5 hours per week)

Ready to make a meaningful impact in a vital role? Join our team as a Vital Records Clerk, where you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining and managing critical documentation with precision and care. 

Responsibilities Include:

  • Position involves complex and confidential duties issuing birth, marriage, and death certificates, fishing and hunting licenses, marriage licenses, and dog licenses.
  • Handles high volume of telephone calls and mail-in requests.
  • Assists with Election related duties as needed. 


Requirements:

  • Applicants must be energetic, detail oriented, organized, customer friendly, computer literate and have the ability to juggle multiple tasks.
  • Must also have excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen; must be able to climb a step ladder and retrieve heavy (up to 20 lbs.) volumes of records from vault.
  • Must be able to work with a diverse population, including language diversity.
  • Must be able to qualify as a Notary Public within 60 days of hire. 
  • Overtime hours, that may include evening and weekend work, may be required during petition verification and elections.

Salary & Benefits:
CEBA Union position – Grade 10 – Pay range starting at $19.85/hour.
