On November 21, 2023, the Department of Health and Human Services notified 67,000 households that they qualify for the Low-Income Assistance Program (LIAP), which is administered by the Public Utilities Commission. The program will provide up to $22.5 million in credits on the electric bills issued to qualifying customers who provide a copy of the LIAP letter to their utility companies. Residents who do not receive a letter and need assistance are urged to complete the online form found here.
