LIVERMORE - The Town of Livermore is seeking a Driver/Laborer. This is a manual labor position operating trucks and equipment in the areas of road construction and repair as well as snow and ice removal operations for the town's Highway Department.

Essential duties include operating trucks, sanders, backhoe/loader; operating light to moderately heavy trucks; manual labor in the repair and maintenance of ditches, culverts and roads; picking up debris such as blow downs and clearing brush; assisting in general repair and preventative maintenance on vehicles.

Employees must have a working knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade. In addition, employees must be able to work overtime and/or on a flexible schedule when winter weather conditions warrant.

The town is seeking candidates with a Class A or B State of Maine vehicle's operating license; must have and maintain a good driving record; ability to perform heavy manual work for an extended period; ability to understand oral and simple written instructions and must pass a pre-employment background check and physical including drug and alcohol screening.
