About this Position:
The Town of Yarmouth Police Department is currently seeking an experienced, highly motivated and community-oriented individual to fill the part-time position of Seasonal Waterfront Ranger. This position will support the Harbormaster during the busy months of June into September. The start and end dates will be fluid based on the season and the needs of the Police Department.
Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and should be interested in boating and marine related activities. Applicants shall possess a driver’s license in good standing, have excellent communication skills and a willingness to work with the public.
This position will assist the Harbor Master with Yarmouth waterfront facilities and maintenance. The individual will assist with coverage during any absence of the Harbor Master. Typical duties will include assisting the public as needed, as well as supporting parking enforcement, and maintaining dinghies, docks, and other equipment along the waterfront. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
