The Town of Standish (Pop. 10,836) is in search of a highly motivated and qualified Finance Assistant.  This position is responsible for payment of accounts payable and payroll for the town as well as other financial duties and reports directly to the Finance Director.  The Finance Assistant is a key employee in the finance department of the town.

The ideal candidate will have at least an Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration or equivalent experience in municipal finance and be an effective communicator as well as a team player.  Familiarity with MUNIS municipal software is highly beneficial along with experience with Microsoft Office products such as Microsoft Word and Excel.  A detailed position description is available at the Municipal Office or on the town’s website under the Finance Department section.
