Brad Eadah, SVP Multi-Bank Securities, Inc, a veteran of the Institutional fixed-income marketplace who has spent more than 30 years helping municipalities, banks, credit unions, school districts and other financial professionals with their investments.
Please join us for an enlightening and interactive conversation designed for municipal finance officers of all experience levels. We will discuss whether an investment portfolio might be right for your municipality and address the four Ps of public funds investing: the Policy, the Process, the Products and the portfolio. We look forward to a presentation that should provide value to every attendee, whether you are a seasoned professional or new to municipal finance. There will be a Q&A end, so please bring your questions.

In 2023, Maine became the 13th state to establish a paid leave program. Beginning in 2026, eligible workers in the private and public sector will have up to 12 weeks of paid time off available to them for family or medical reasons including illness, to care for a relative, or for the birth of a child. Staff from the Maine Paid Family and Medical Leave Program (PFML) will provide an overview of the new program including progress on the implementation timeline, recent updates on the program, along with an opportunity for Q and A from attendees.

Verbal Judo is a powerful method of persuasion used to de-escalate, verbally, situations that could become charged and even physically dangerous. Verbal Judo is a gentle approach to being in control of situations without creating stress, without frustration, and without continued conflict. Verbal Judo proves it’s efficacy when utilized in situations where emotions run high and where the threat of conflict, violence, and/or litigation loom(s).

Amanda conducts ongoing analysis of Maine’s economy to keep our State leaders informed in order to assist them in their planning and policy decisions. She will share some of her incites with us.

Cancellations must be submitted using this Cancellation form to cancel your registration for an event. Cancellations received before 10/25/24 will be assessed a $15 administrative fee for processing. Registration changes (switching from in-person to virtual or vice versa) will be assessed a $15 administrative fee for processing. Cancellations received on/after 10/25/24 will be charged 50% of the course fee. Any registrant who does not attend and does not cancel their registration (i.e., no-show) and any cancellation received the day of the event will be charged the full registration fee.
