Request for Proposal for Mold Remediation Services
Introduction: Purpose: The Town of Milford is seeking proposals from qualified mold remediation contractors to provide mold assessment, removal, and remediation services for the Fire department located at 62 davenport street Milford Maine 04461 The selected contractor will be expected to deliver services in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Organization Overview: The Milford fire department currently staffs 2 people per shift, 24/7 365 days a year. The suspected mold is within the walls of the bed rooms.

Scope of Work:
Project Description: Services Required: The selected contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: • Mold Assessment: Conduct thorough testing and air sampling to determine the extent of mold contamination, If any at all • Mold Remediation Plan: Develop a detailed plan for the safe removal and disposal of mold-affected materials. • Remediation Services: Execute the approved mold remediation plan, including containment, removal, and disposal of contaminated materials. • Post-Remediation Testing: Perform post-remediation testing to confirm the effectiveness of the remediation process. • Documentation: Provide a comprehensive report that includes before-and-after photographs, testing results, and a summary of work completed.
Safety and Compliance: All work must comply with applicable OSHA regulations, EPA guidelines, and local building codes. The contractor must ensure the safety of all occupants and workers throughout the project.
Proposal Requirements: Contractor Qualifications: Provide a brief history of your company, including relevant experience in mold remediation. Include proof of relevant certifications, licenses, and insurance coverage. List key personnel who will be assigned to the project, along with their qualifications. Project Approach: Describe your approach to mold remediation, including your methodology for assessment, containment, removal, and postremediation verification. Provide a detailed project schedule with milestones and estimated completion dates.
Cost Proposal: Provide a detailed cost breakdown, including all labor, materials, equipment, and any other associated costs. Include a payment schedule tied to project milestones.
References: Provide at least three references from previous clients who can speak to your company’s performance on similar projects. Proposal Submission: Submission Deadline: Proposals must be submitted no later than November 1st 2024

Evaluation Criteria: Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria: Experience and Qualifications: Demonstrated expertise in mold remediation. Project Approach: Understanding of the scope of work and the proposed methodology. Cost: Reasonableness and transparency of the cost proposal. References: Positive feedback from past clients. Terms and Conditions The Town of Milford reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. All costs incurred in the preparation of the proposal will be the responsibility of the bidder. The selected contractor will be required to sign a contract with The Town of Milford that includes standard terms and conditions.
