The Town of Bar Harbor is seeking bids for the purchase of a new Ford Explorer Police Interceptor for use by the fire department.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR BIDDING
Each bidder should submit a bid to the Fire Chiefs Office, 37 Firefly Lane, Bar Harbor, ME 04609, on or before Monday May 12th, 2025 at 3:00 PM. Bids can also be submitted by email to: [email protected].
Each bid must include pricing for the new vehicle as specified above.
The Town of Bar Harbor reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities or irregularities. All work described herein will be awarded to a single bidder.
DELIVERY
All equipment shall be in stock and ready for immediate delivery.
TERMS
The entire unit and all equipment must be thoroughly inspected, serviced, and ready for use upon delivery to the Fire Department at the time stated on the bid. All work performed must meet established industry standards of quality and be acceptable to the Fire Department. Any unacceptable work must be corrected before the Town will issue payment on the vehicle. Once accepted by the Town, payment will be made within thirty (30) days receipt of invoice.
HOLD HARMLESS CLAUSE
The contractor shall hold the Town harmless from any claim of damages of every kind and nature whatsoever, including court costs and attorney’s fees, arising from, out of, or incidental to any claim under this contract, or connected therewith, which shall be made against the Town of Bar Harbor.
AWARD OF BID
The bid award will be based on price of the vehicle, quality and performance of vehicle proposed, availability of vehicle, prior history or experience with the bidder, and prior history or experience with the vehicle offered. The successful bidder shall receive a signed purchase order. All bidders will receive a copy of the Bid Summary, listing all bids submitted and the successful bidder.
GUARANTEE
The bidders shall furnish with their bid the manufacturer’s warrantee.
