The Selectboard in accordance with established guidelines is soliciting quotation for a three-year contract for collection and hauling of residential solid waste and recyclables for the Town of Parsonsfield. Bid packages may be obtained at the Fred Morrill Municipal Building 634 North Road, or online at Parsonsfield.org.

The Town of Parsonsfield is a small town located in York County, on the New Hampshire border, consisting of approximately 1900 residents, 900 pick-up points, and 80 miles (+-) of road. (See Map at Parsonsfield.org).

All interested parties are invited to submit a sealed bid to the Selectmen’s Office by 4:00 PM on June 16, 2025  All bids must be placed in a sealed envelope and clearly marked with the words “Solid Waste and Recyclables.”  The Board of Selectmen will open submitted bids on June 16, 2025, at the regular Selectmen’s meeting beginning at 6pm. 

The Town reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals. The Town also reserves itself for the exclusive right to accept any proposals when it is deemed by the Town to be in its best interest. The Town of Parsonsfield is governed by Title 1 M.R.S. § 401-410, otherwise known as the Freedom of Information Act, which considers bid specifications as public documents. In awarding any proposal, the Town may consider, but not be limited to, any of the following factors: Bidder qualifications, price, experience, warranties, and references.
