The Town of Union is soliciting responses from qualified firms or persons to conduct an environmental assessment of the impact of severe/multi-faceted weather events on critical community infrastructure. The weather events the town would like to plan for include extreme cold, extreme heat, drought, flooding, snow, ice, high wind, and any combination of two or more of these. We ask that the individual consultant, firm, or combination of firms, selected through this open bidding process by the town, assess the impact that any one or more of these severe weather events would have on critical community infrastructure, including the power grid, public water system and sources, roadways, dams, internet service, public/private buildings, stormwater culverts and conveyance systems, and municipal or public safety operations, and provide a final recommendations report to better prepare systems to withstand these types of weather events.

This environmental assessment is funded by a Community Resilience Partnership Community Action Grant. The RFP and original Community Action Grant Application can be seen on the Town of Union's website at the link above.

Submittal Deadline: The deadline for submissions is Monday, August 4, 2025, at 4:00 pm. Submissions should be emailed to Todd Souza, Town Manager: [email protected].
Proposals will be opened in a public Community Resilience Partnership Committee meeting on Monday, August 4, 2025, at 5:00pm, and the results and tabulation will be available for public inspection.
