9-1-1 Dispatch Center Supervisor

Lincoln County 9-1-1 Regional Communications Center in Wiscasset, Maine seeks a full-time Communications Supervisor.  Our ideal candidate possesses an enthusiasm to work in a vital public safety environment.  9-1-1 is often the first call made when a person needs help.  This position is a leader on the team that answers that call.

This full-time position facilitates the daily emergency telecommunications services provided by LCRCC to law enforcement, fire services, EMS and EMA.  Around the clock call-taking, radio and phone dispatch of police, fire, and EMS are some of the activities that happen every day at LCRCC.  We get help to those who need it most!

If you are able to supervise people devoted to public safety careers, you may be the applicant we are looking for.  Every day is different at LCRCC, so the Supervisor needs to be nimble while providing calm guidance.  Strong leadership and communication skills are required to ensure a high-quality service is provided to dispatch partners.  A flexible schedule, including nights and/or weekends may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 3-4 years experience in public safety emergency communications
• Previous succesful experience supervising teams
• Ability to interact effectively with a variety of agencies and employees
• EMD/EFD Certification required
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A dedication to public service
