The Town of Kennebunk is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant in the Public Services Division. This position provides office support to the Director of Public Services and the Public Services Division (Highway and Parks & Facilities).

The Public Services Administrative Assistant performs a variety of highly responsible and complex administrative and clerical work. The work includes managing correspondence, maintaining records, assisting with monitoring the Division’s budget, and coordinating purchasing processes. The Administrative Assistant is the primary point of contact for inquiries from the public and other staff. Duties are carried out with a high degree of confidentiality and discretion with some independent judgment.

Position Requirements

  1. High School graduate or equivalent;
  2. Three (3) or more years of progressively responsible experience as an Administrative Assistant with experience in accounts payable and customer service;
  3. Skilled in Microsoft Office and social media platforms;
  4. Experience with processing Payroll and working with a time clock desirable; or
  5. Any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered.

 

Pay & Benefits

This is an hourly, non-exempt, non-union position with a starting pay range of $22.16 – $26.28/hour, Grade E of the Town’s non-union pay ranges, working Monday-Friday from 7:00am – 3:00pm, 40 hours/week. Starting pay is determined based on demonstrated knowledge, skills, abilities, and work experience.
