The Town of Kennebunkport is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Administrative Assistant to support several town boards and committees, including the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, Beach Advisory Committee, and Growth Planning Committee.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend or watch meetings to prepare accurate, detailed minutes.
  • Distribute and manage meeting documents and approved minutes.
  • Ensure proper room setup, accessibility, and equipment if attending in person.
  • Provide clerical support and assist with records management.
  • Serve as backup for Selectboard minutes as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months of relevant administrative experience.
  • Strong typing, listening, and minute-taking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and general office equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to learn parliamentary procedures.

Other Details:

  • Work primarily from home with occasional attendance at evening meetings.
  • Must be able to travel to in-person meetings when required.
