Fryeburg Police Department – Administrative Assistant
The Fryeburg Police Department is seeking a part-time Administrative Assistant to support public safety operations in a highly visible, fast-paced environment. This position requires strong administrative and technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while engaging professionally with the public, Town staff, and law enforcement personnel.
Key responsibilities include providing administrative support to the Police Department, maintaining accurate records and managing department databases, and performing general bookkeeping and clerical duties. The candidate must have the ability to interact professionally and courteously with the public, Town staff, and outside agencies and handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary training preferred
- Experience in municipal government or public safety preferred
Must demonstrate:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency with technology and office software
- Clear, professional communication and responsive customer service in a technical setting
