The Town of Plaistow, New Hampshire (pop. 7,900) is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of full-time Assistant Town Manager. Located on the MA-NH border, this community is just 20 miles from the Seacoast and 40 miles to Boston. Covering about 10 square miles, its booming retail, commercial and industrial base makes Plaistow a “destination” community.
The Assistant Town Manager reports to, and will assist, the Town Manager in the effective and efficient delivery of services to the Town with an emphasis on HR related functions and management of department heads. There are currently 70 full-time employees, 25 PT/Per Diem employees and the operating budget is $13,306,304.
Successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in related field (master’s preferred); with experience in public management/administration, HR, and collective bargaining units; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to demonstrate success in the position. Salary range to $105,000; starting salary commensurate with qualifications. Plaistow is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
