The City of Bath Public Works Department is seeking a full-time Truck Driver. The Truck Driver works primarily outside, operating a variety of equipment and trucks utilized in construction, maintenance, and repair activities. Key duties include a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance of light, street, sign, sewer, and storm drainage systems, as well as snow plowing and snow removal in winter months.

 

Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent. Four years’ experience in construction, maintenance, or repair, two of which should be related to utility or street systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is desired. Must have a valid State of Maine Class B CDL or higher. Good communication skills, the ability to follow instructions and safety procedures, and competence in the operation of small and large equipment are required.

 

This position is part of the Public Works Union and has a probationary starting wage of $23.42.
