Job Summary:

 

This position is responsible for the maintenance, configuration and reliable operation of core server resources and systems. This position requires an in-depth understanding of server room software, hardware, and networks.

 

Requirements:

 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field required.

• 5+ years of Systems Administration experience, ideally for a Managed Services Provider with exposure to multiple customers and environments.

• Relevant certifications are a plus, working knowledge of virtualization, VMWare, or equivalent.

• Strong knowledge of network architecture and network administration concepts including communication protocols, segmentation, DMZs.

• Experience with scripting and jobs for automation.

• A proven track record of recommending IT strategy and executing on assignments with formal plans.

• Strong knowledge of implementing and effectively developing helpdesk and IT operations best practices, including expert knowledge of security, storage, data protection, and disaster recovery protocols.

 

Necessary Special Requirements:

 

Must possess a valid State Class C driver’s license and have and maintain a good driving record.

Salary & Benefits:

 

This is a Non Union position (Grade C44) – Starting salary range: $78,302 to $88,132/year, based on experience.
