This is a clerical position in the office of Coplin Plantation.  Work is performed under the general supervision of the Town Clerk in accordance with Town, State and Federal Laws.  This position is part time approximately 9 hours weekly.  Hourly rate of pay is negotiable depending upon qualifications.  The office hours will be  Wednesday 2:00pm-6:00pm & Thursday 12:00pm-4:30pm.  The position will remain open until filled. 

Work Responsibilities include:

  • Is primary responder for counter work.
  • Cross-references all vital statistic records.
  • Posts all hunting, fishing and dog licenses into the computer and maintains a file of said licenses.
  • Assumes duties of Town Clerk, as assigned by the Town Clerk, in the Town Clerk’s absence.
  • Issues and keeps all necessary records for absentee ballots.
  • Accomplishes such duties and responsibilities as shall be assigned by the Town Clerk.

Requirements of Work

  • Ability to deal with the public on a daily basis
  • Proficiency in computer knowledge
  • Ability to organize work and set priorities

Desirable Experience and Training

  • Experience in clerical work and in dealing with the public; supplemental with experience in office procedures; proficiency in filing and in the use of computers, calculators and copiers.
