VACANCY
The Town of Skowhegan has an opening for a full-time Economic & Community Development Administrative Assistant position, 37.5 hours per week. This position is a key member in supporting and assisting the Economic & Community Development Director. Work involves considerable contact with the public, the screening of telephone calls; preparing and maintaining a variety of forms, applications, contracts, documents and records; recording of project financial transactions; and collecting and verifying data; setting up and taking minutes of workshops/meetings, working with a variety of state programs.
This position requires developed computer and keyboard skills along with the ability to organize and keep accurate records. Working knowledge of municipal government and QuickBooks is also desired. Excellent communication and people skills are expected.
