The Town of Bar Harbor is seeking qualified candidates for the position of GIS Manager. This leadership-level role is responsible for advancing and overseeing the Town’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) program. The GIS Manager will collaborate closely with the Information Technology Department, department heads, and other key municipal staff to maintain, improve, and expand GIS tools and data that support critical municipal functions, improve service delivery, and inform community decision-making.

A few of the essential duties include:
- Lead and manage the Town’s GIS program, ensuring accurate and secure mapping and data systems.
- Develop, maintain, and analyze GIS databases, applications, and tools.
- Collaborate with Town departments to support a wide range of projects including land use planning, infrastructure asset management, emergency response, and environmental protection.
- Integrate GIS with other Town software systems and provide user training, guidance, and technical support.
