The Town of Sidney is accepting applications & resumes for the position of a General Laborer. This is a seasonal position. The Town offers a professional, community-oriented work environment, competitive pay, mileage, training, and equipment.

Candidates will only need to provide their own vehicle and must have a valid Maine Driver’s license. Vehicle must be set up to tow a small utility trailer. The Town provides a trailer, mowers, weed whackers, and all other necessary equipment.   

Job duties include:

Mowing and maintaining local cemeteries, brush removal, trash removal, placement of memorial flags prior to Memorial Day (cemeteries), mowing and maintaining the Town Office and Fire Department grounds.

Average hours are 20-30+ per week. Hours are flexible and can be arranged with the Road Foreman. Job will begin in the spring and end in the fall.
