The Town of Lisbon is seeking experienced driver/operators to join its Public Works Department. This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position. 

An employee in this position operates automotive and construction equipment in support of work performed by the Public Works Department. Individuals perform a variety of manual tasks when necessary and completes related work as required. Drivers/Operators are responsible for safe and efficient operation of dump trucks and some other construction equipment used in Public Works activities. The employee may rotate among the various pieces of equipment as the workload of the department changes. When necessary, the individual performs unskilled and semi-skilled labor tasks.

Examples of Work (illustrative only and not all inclusive)

Operates equipment such as dump trucks, sweepers, loaders, compressors, power rollers, compactors, snow plows, sand trucks, boom trucks, and other equipment that is required in Public Works activities.

Operates trucks and equipment during snow plowing and snow removal operations.

• Performs unskilled and semi-skilled labor in connection with various maintenance, construction, and other related Public Works activities.
• Maintains vehicles and equipment in clean condition. Makes minor repairs and adjustments and does necessary service under supervision when required.
• Performs manual labor incidental to operation to which assigned.
• Supervises assigned helpers.
• Operates all equipment in a non-abusive manner.
• Performs all duties as assigned.

Pay starts at $22.89 per hour. The Town offers competitive benefits and time off.
