The Ogunquit Sewer District is seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic. The Maintenance Mechanic position is a skilled position in the maintenance and repair of the Ogunquit Sewer District's wastewater treatment plant equipment, the sewer system and pump station equipment. The position involves the inspection, preventive maintenance, general upkeep and mechanical repair of pump station equipment and mechanical wastewater treatment equipment; troubleshooting equipment breakdowns; and maintaining records of equipment maintenance and operation.
The successful candidate must have experience as a maintenance mechanic, particularly on mechanical and specialized equipment involving light electrical, mechanical and plumbing. Graduation from a standard high school or equivalent; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. The candidate must also possess a Class C driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record. Solid interpersonal skills required. Must be dependable, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to improve performance.
