The Midcoast COG seeks a Regional or Senior Planner that performs technical and professional work by providing land use planning guidance, comprehensive planning analysis, and sustainable and resiliency planning assistance. The Senior Planner provides technical assistance, research, and communications on topics including, but not limited to, community development, direct community assistance, land use planning and sustainability/resiliency and planning, and  economic, community, and business development programs for the MidCoast region (Brunswick north to Belfast). The Senior Planner is responsible for program administration and grants management, as assigned. The Senior planner will lead and support planning staff in community engagement, including by not limited to developing comprehensive plans; resiliency plans, or oversee direct planning board assistance in subdivision, site plan, and other local review processes, whether as an individual or in managing MCOG planning staff. Salary Range: $65,000-72,000; 100% Health Benefits for the individual, 80/20 for Family Coverage; flexible schedule and remote working available. Must live in or be willing to move to the midcoast region.
