The Town of Mercer is seeking a Deputy Clerk and Deputy Tax Collector Position.

The Town of Mercer is seeking an individual to work roughly 20 hours.  Good customer service skills, clerical abilities, knowledge of local government and bookkeeping skills preferred but will train the right person. 

This is varied clerical and secretarial work in assisting the Town Clerk, Treasurer, Tax Collector in the collection and record-keeping of various taxes, fees and licenses. Work involves significant public contact while collecting monies and the compilation of records and reports. This is a detail oriented position and attention must be paid to accuracy in all respects. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Town Clerk in accordance with Town, State, and Federal laws.
