Overview:
The Patrol Deputy enforces the laws for the County of Knox, State of Maine by patrolling assigned areas and responding to and investigating incidents and complaints received from Dispatch, according to the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the Sheriff’s Office. Qualifications and Wages:
Applicants must be high school graduates or equivalent, have no criminal record and be in good health. Applicants must have successfully completed the Pre-Service Law Enforcement Training Program and Alert Test of the MCJA, have a working knowledge of criminal, motor vehicle and civil law of the State to be enforced within the County, and have a minimum of one year of full or part-time law enforcement experience. Applicants will be required to pass a written exam, the standard MCJA physical assessment, an oral board, a polygraph exam, psychological exam, and an extensive criminal and motor vehicle background check.
