Position: School Crossing Guard (Part-Time) - **Afternoons and Substitute Coverage Needed**
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Part-Time (Up to 15 hours per week)
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday (School Days only). Must be available to work 7:15 to 8:45 a.m. and from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m.
Pay Range: $18.69 per hour
Location: Town of Yarmouth Police Department

About this Position:
The function of this position is pedestrian safety and to facilitate the safe passage of school children across streets and intersections. This position is part-time and requires serious commitment to be at the crossing guard post on each school day, both before and after school hours as required.
This position will receive training procedures which must be applied while at work. Candidate must have constant awareness of their surroundings. This position will monitor potentially dangerous, hazardous traffic problems and report them to the Police Department as needed.
This position will follow the school calendar of the Yarmouth School Department.
The School Crossing Guard’s daily placement will be at the discretion of the Yarmouth Police Department.
This position will have a detailed background check. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and hold a high school diploma or GED. Must have the ability to interact with children in a positive manner. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
