Job Opening: Town Clerk / Assistant to the Town Manager

The Town of Dover-Foxcroft is seeking a highly organized and service-oriented Town Clerk / Assistant to the Town Manager. This role oversees the Town Clerk’s office, manages elections and vital records, issues licenses and permits, and supports the Town Manager in daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain Select Board agendas, minutes, and records.
• Plan and conduct elections and voter registration.
• Validate and record official documents; issue licenses and permits.
• Maintain records of births, deaths, and marriages.
• Serve as custodian of the Town seal.
• Respond to public inquiries and provide information.
• Update the Town Charter, Code, and Ordinances.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Strong organizational, communication, and recordkeeping skills.
• Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
• Knowledge of municipal operations preferred.
