POSITION SUMMARY: The Town of Casco is seeking an individual to fill the position of full-time Town Planner. The Town Planner is responsible for duties associated with Town planning, including development review, drafting of land use plans, coordinating comprehensive plan implementation, land use ordinances and other projects.

The Town Planner serves as technical staff for the Planning Board, Comprehensive Implementation Committee, ad hoc committees associated with traffic management, and others as directed.  This position is a direct report to the Town Manager.

REQUIREMENTS: Five years’ experience in town planning, economic development or related field preferred. A bachelor’s degree in land planning or related field from an accredited college or university required.  Must possess effective written and verbal communication, the ability to collaborate with peers and the ability to learn and become proficient with required software.
