The Town of Dedham is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Fire Chief to manage our growing Dedham/Lucerne Fire Department.
Current staffing includes a part-time Fire Chief, full-time Assistant Chief, two full-time firefighters/EMTs, and a paid volunteer force of five+/-.
Preferred Experience and Training
(Preference will be given to applicants who closely meet the following)
- Minimum of five years officer experience in the fire service
- EMT license required, AEMT preferred
- Firefighter I & II, Instructor I & II, and Fire Officer I & II
- Advanced knowledge of fire and EMS techniques
- Strong leadership and cooperative management style
- Ability to work cooperatively with mutual aid partners, contractors, and suppliers
- Ability to work with the public with care, consideration, and knowledge
- Computer Skills

- Starting Salary Range: $67,900-83,400
