The Town of Freeport is currently seeking applications for per-diem Firefighters with ALS Licensing. This is a skilled Firefighting and EMS position consisting of ALS responsibilities, both emergency and non-emergency, as well as combating, extinguishing, and preventing fires. Work involves responding to a wide range of fire suppression and medical emergencies to ensure the stability and safety of our community. 

Per-diem employees are expected to schedule a minimum of four shifts per month. Typical shifts begin at 0700 hours and are 12-24 hours.

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State of Maine Class C operator's license.
• Must have a current state of Maine EMS Advance or Paramedic license.
• State of Maine Firefighter 1 & 2 certification. 
• Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check and a post-offer physical exam.

The starting pay for this position is $26.75 -$29.35/hr and is commensurate with experience.
