The Town of Garland is seeking a Public Works Director to oversee Highways, Transfer Station and maintenance of cemetery and town grounds. Candidates are required to have a clean and valid Maine State Drivers license with a CDL A endorsement. A working, practical knowledge of road construction and materials, operation of heavy equipment, snow removal, pit mining, mechanical ability and general construction skills are necessary.  Employee management skills and the ability to interact calmly and responsibly when dealing with the public expressing diverse views is needed.
